Each size is designed for a specific placement on the garment — a 4x4-inch transfer is the standard left chest size, a 10x10-inch transfer covers a full front design area, and a 12x17-inch transfer handles oversized graphics. You upload your design, select the size, and we produce your transfers at 1800 DPI resolution using professional DTF equipment at our Schaumburg, Illinois facility.

Individual transfers are priced by size, starting from $1.00 for a 2x2-inch transfer. There are no minimums, no setup fees, and no surcharges for full-color designs.

How to Order DTF Transfers

Step 2: Upload your design. We accept PNG (recommended), JPEG, and TIFF formats. PNG with a transparent background is preferred for clean edges.

Step 3: Set your quantity. There is no minimum — you can order one transfer or one hundred.

File Requirements

Accepted formats: PNG, JPEG, TIFF. PNG with a transparent background is strongly recommended for clean edges on the garment.

Resolution: 300 DPI minimum at the intended print size.

Color mode: RGB is preferred. CMYK is accepted but colors may shift during conversion.

Dimensions: Size your design file to match the transfer size you are ordering, or slightly smaller.

Pricing

Individual transfer pricing starts at $1.00 for the smallest size (2x2 inches) and scales up to $8.00 for the largest standard size (12x17 inches). There are no setup fees or color surcharges — DTF printing reproduces full-color artwork at the same price as a single-color design.

For high-volume multi-design printing, a DTF gang sheet is the more cost-effective option. Gang sheets allow you to combine multiple designs on one sheet at a lower cost per square inch.

What is the difference between an individual DTF transfer and a gang sheet?

An individual DTF transfer is a single design printed to a specific size — for example, one 4x4-inch left chest logo. A DTF gang sheet is a single large sheet (22 inches wide) that contains multiple designs printed together. Gang sheets are more cost-effective per design when you have three or more different designs to print at once. Individual transfers are better for single designs, test orders, or one-off custom requests.

Can I order just one transfer, or is there a minimum?

You can order a single transfer with no minimum and no setup fee. A single 4x4-inch DTF transfer starts at $2.00. The same production quality applies to single-unit orders as to bulk orders.

What fabrics do DTF transfers work on?

DTF transfers work on virtually all fabric types, including 100% cotton, 100% polyester, cotton-polyester blends, nylon, spandex, and most other woven and knit fabrics. Both light-colored and dark-colored fabrics produce accurate, vibrant results.

How do I heat press a DTF transfer?

Preheat your heat press to 305-320°F (152-160°C). Pre-press your garment for 3-5 seconds to remove moisture. Place the transfer face-down on the garment. Press for 10-15 seconds with medium-to-firm pressure. Allow to cool 5-10 seconds, then cold peel the film. For polyester, use the lower temperature range.

Do DTF transfers work on dark-colored shirts?

Yes. DTF transfers use a white ink underbase layer, which ensures your design colors appear true and vivid regardless of the garment color. This is a significant advantage over sublimation printing, which cannot produce accurate colors on dark fabrics.

How long do DTF transfers last after washing?

With proper care — washing inside out in cold water on a gentle cycle, using mild detergent, no bleach, and tumble drying on low heat or air drying — ZizoDTF transfers maintain quality through 40+ wash cycles.
