UV DTF Gang Sheets

Learn More About UV DTF Gang Sheets

What Is a UV DTF Gang Sheet?

A UV DTF gang sheet is a single printed sheet that holds multiple UV DTF sticker designs arranged side by side. Instead of ordering each design separately, you pack several designs — or multiple copies of the same design — onto one sheet and cut them apart after printing. The result is a cost-effective way to produce a variety of UV DTF transfers in a single order, without paying individual setup costs for each design.

UV DTF stands for ultraviolet direct-to-film. The process uses UV-curable inks printed onto a clear film at 1800 DPI, producing vivid, full-color stickers that peel and apply directly to hard surfaces. No heat press, no laminator, no special equipment — just peel the backing and press the sticker onto your surface by hand.

Gang sheets are available in five sizes from 15x20 inches up to 15x100 inches, all printed at 15 inches wide. You can upload a finished layout file or use our online builder to arrange your designs before you order.

UV DTF vs Regular DTF Gang Sheets

Both UV DTF and regular DTF gang sheets use the same gang sheet format — multiple designs on a single sheet — but they are made for completely different applications. Here is a quick comparison to help you choose the right product.

Choose Your UV DTF Sheet Size

All UV DTF gang sheets print at 15 inches wide. Choose the length that fits your order volume. Longer sheets hold more designs and reduce the per-sticker cost.

The counts below are approximate examples based on 4-inch square stickers with standard spacing. Your actual count will vary depending on your sticker size and shape.

15 x 20 Inch Sheet

Fits approximately 12–16 four-inch stickers. A practical starting point for sampling new designs or producing small batches for events and product launches. This is the most common choice for first orders.

15 x 36 Inch Sheet

Fits approximately 24–30 stickers at the same size. A good mid-range option when you need more variety or are restocking a set of existing designs without committing to a large run.

15 x 48 Inch Sheet

Fits approximately 32–40 stickers. Popular with sellers who carry a core line of 6–10 designs and want a steady supply without reordering every week.

15 x 60 Inch Sheet

Fits approximately 40–50 stickers. Well-suited for shops filling consistent wholesale or retail orders, or businesses building branded merchandise kits with multiple sticker designs.

15 x 100 Inch Sheet

Fits approximately 70–80 stickers — the best per-unit value for high-volume production. Choose this size when you have established designs you sell regularly and want to minimize cost per piece.

How to Order Your Custom UV DTF Gang Sheet

There are two ways to place your order. Choose whichever fits your workflow.

  • Upload Your Design: Prepare your gang sheet layout in your design software (Photoshop, Illustrator, Canva, or any application that exports PNG or PDF). Set your canvas to 15 inches wide at the sheet length you need, arrange your designs at 300 DPI or higher, export as a transparent-background PNG, and upload the file during checkout.
  • Build Online: Use our gang sheet builder to upload individual design files and arrange them on your sheet directly in the browser. The builder handles spacing and layout so you do not need design software to get started.

Once your order is placed, our team in Schaumburg, IL prints your sheet at 1800 DPI using UV-curable inks and ships it to you with no minimum order requirement.

Best Surfaces for UV DTF Stickers

UV DTF stickers bond to non-porous and semi-porous hard surfaces. The adhesive cures under UV light during printing, creating a flexible, waterproof, scratch-resistant decoration that does not require heat or pressure equipment to apply.

Surfaces that work well with UV DTF include:

  • Tumblers and drinkware — Stainless steel, powder-coated, and coated ceramic tumblers. A popular choice for custom merchandise and promotional items.
  • Glass — Wine glasses, mason jars, glass bottles, and mirrors. Clean the surface with isopropyl alcohol before application for best adhesion.
  • Metal — Aluminum, stainless steel panels, tin signs, and metal water bottles.
  • Phone cases and electronics — Hard plastic and polycarbonate cases. UV DTF conforms to slight surface curves.
  • Laptops and tablets — Smooth aluminum or plastic surfaces respond well. Stickers can be repositioned slightly during application before final press-down.
  • Wood — Sealed or painted wood, cutting boards, and wooden boxes. Unsealed raw wood may reduce adhesion.
  • Acrylic and hard plastic — Signs, nameplates, product packaging, and display pieces.

UV DTF is designed for hard surfaces only. It is not intended for fabric or garment applications. For textile decoration, see our regular DTF gang sheets.

File Requirements for UV DTF Gang Sheets

Follow these specifications to ensure your file prints correctly at full quality.

  • Accepted formats: PNG (preferred), PDF, TIFF
  • Color mode: RGB — we handle the color conversion on our end
  • Resolution: 300 DPI minimum at final print size. Higher is fine; lower will result in reduced detail and edge sharpness.
  • Background: Transparent background (PNG with alpha channel). Do not include a white background unless white is part of your design.
  • Canvas size: If uploading a pre-built gang sheet, set your canvas to exactly 15 inches wide at your chosen sheet length (e.g., 15x20 inches, 15x36 inches).
  • Spacing: Leave at least 0.25 inches between designs and from the edge of the canvas to avoid clipping during cutting.
  • Bleed: No bleed required for UV DTF stickers.

If you have questions about preparing your file, contact our team before placing your order. We review files before production and will reach out if we notice anything that may affect print quality.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between a UV DTF sticker and a regular sticker?

A UV DTF sticker is printed with UV-curable inks on a clear adhesive film, producing a full-color, waterproof decoration with the print embedded directly into the material — not sitting on top of it like a paper sticker. Standard paper or vinyl stickers can peel or bubble over time; UV DTF stickers are more resistant to edge lifting and surface damage because the adhesive layer bonds directly to non-porous surfaces. They also allow for transparent areas in your design, which looks clean on glass and clear surfaces.

Do UV DTF stickers work on curved surfaces like tumblers?

Yes. UV DTF film is flexible enough to conform to the gentle curves of most tumblers, bottles, and drinkware. The key is to apply the sticker slowly, working from one edge across the curve to prevent air bubbles. Very tight curves or irregular surfaces may not give a clean result — test on a sample piece first if you are unsure.

Are UV DTF stickers waterproof?

Yes. UV DTF stickers are waterproof. They hold up to washing, condensation, and outdoor exposure on hard surfaces. This makes them a practical choice for drinkware, outdoor signage, and product labeling. UV DTF stickers are not intended for fabric or apparel, where standard DTF transfers are the appropriate product.

Is there a minimum order for UV DTF gang sheets?

No. There is no minimum order at ZizoDTF. You can order a single 15x20 sheet or a full 15x100 sheet — the process and pricing are the same regardless of order size. This makes gang sheets practical for testing new designs before committing to a large run.

Can I mix different designs on one UV DTF gang sheet?

Yes. That is the primary purpose of a gang sheet. You can fill a single sheet with as many different designs as fit within the 15-inch width and your chosen sheet length. Each design can be a different size and shape. Use our online builder to arrange multiple designs, or submit a pre-built layout file with your designs already positioned.

How many stickers fit on a 15-inch UV DTF sheet?

It depends entirely on the size of your stickers. A 15x20 sheet holds approximately 12–16 stickers at 4 inches square. A 15x100 sheet holds approximately 70–80 at the same size. Smaller stickers fit more; larger stickers fit fewer. Our gang sheet builder shows you how many fit in real time as you arrange your designs.

What resolution should my UV DTF files be?

Submit files at a minimum of 300 DPI at your final print size. For the sharpest edges and finest detail — especially on small text or intricate designs — 600 DPI is preferred. Our printers output at 1800 DPI, so the quality ceiling is high; your file resolution is the limiting factor. Low-resolution files will print with visible pixelation around edges.

How long does it take to receive my UV DTF gang sheets?

Standard orders are processed in 1–2 business days from file approval. Shipping time depends on your location relative to our facility in Schaumburg, IL. Expedited processing is available for time-sensitive orders — contact us at the time of purchase if you need faster turnaround.

Can I order a UV DTF gang sheet and a regular DTF gang sheet in the same order?

Yes. ZizoDTF is one of the few providers offering both UV DTF sticker gang sheets and regular DTF transfer gang sheets through the same ordering platform. You can order both product types together in a single checkout. Each is produced separately since they use different printing processes, but they ship together.

What file format is best for uploading UV DTF designs?

PNG with a transparent background is the recommended format. Save your file in RGB color mode at 300 DPI or higher. Avoid JPEG for designs with fine edges or transparent areas, as JPEG compression introduces artifacts that can affect edge quality. PDF is also accepted for pre-built gang sheet layouts exported from professional design software.
